If you love Portuguese wine, this tour is for you! Our morning starts with an impressive view over the Tagus River as we cross the Vasco da Gama Bridge, the longest bridge in Europe at 17km. Our first stop is at Alcube, a small family business that currently produces 200 thousands liters of wines a year. Before moving onto our second round of wine tasting, it’s time for a lunchtime stop at beautiful Sesimbra, a small fishing village set in the heart of the Arrabida Natural Park. The José Maria da Fonseca Cellar, founded in 1834, has won countless gold medals during the course of the last century. The cellar also exports to numerous countries, boasting an internationally famous collection of wines. This is an exciting opportunity to get to know the cellar’s history and production techniques, whilst enjoying some unique new flavors. On the way back to Lisbon, there is just enough time for a stop at the Christ Statue where one can admire the beautiful view over the city of Lisbon.
